It was a great outing at the ITB Berlin 2023 travel trade show for The Gambia and its Minister of Tourism and Culture, Hon. Hamat Bah, who met with former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine of the Seychelles, Alain St. Ange.

The Tourism Minister of the West African nation popularly referred to as the Smiling Coast of Africa, and the well-respected, Alain St. Ange who now heads his Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy have been friends for many years.

Their meeting in Berlin was an opportunity for St. Ange to explore tourism opportunities in West Africa as he opens dialogue with Tourism Ministers of the region who are looking at growing tourism on the African Continent.

After the meeting Alain St. Ange said that he was happy to have had the opportunity to catch up again with Hon. Hamat Bah, the Minister of Tourism and Culture of The Gambia and intends to follow up very soon on discussions raised.

The 2023 ITB Berlin travel trade show brought together some of the world’s leaders of thought and professionals in the tourism industry, which provided many with the opportunities to not only network and discuss business, but to do some catching up with old friends, especially after the covid-19 pandemic.
