    Leaving the rumble and adventure of Victoria's falls behind and making way through south Zimbabwe's largest National Park, exploring Matopos National Park, marvel at the magnificent precariously balanced granite boulders, and down to the iron age ruins of the Royal Palace, leaving you refreshing and smiling.   Itinerary On arrival, visitors are picked from the airport to the campground where they will camp for the rest of the tour. This 5-day tour begins in Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Africa, then heads to Hwange National Park for game viewing. All of Zimbabwe’s endangered species, as well as one of Africa’s biggest elephant populations, reside in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s biggest game reserve. Then, moving on to Matobo National Park, with its unusual landscape of granite boulders, where you embark on a game drive. From there you visit a World Heritage Site, the spectacular Great Zimbabwe Ruins and marvel at these ancient remains of a once important trading center. Day 4 SOWETO TOUR & GOLD REEF CITY TOUR: (breakfast) Today, after a hearty breakfast, proceed for Soweto tour: The legacy of apartheid and the incredible stories of the immense resistance to it come intensely to life on this expertly guided tour of the vibrant sprawl of Soweto – a vast township that grew from a forced settlement in 1904 that aimed to segregate races and ethnicities in early Johannesburg. You’ll get a fascinating glimpse of bustling neighbourhood life as you drive by the former residences of two South African Nobel Peace Prize winners, as well as visit icons of the ‘struggle’ such as the Hector Pieterson Memorial, the Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square. You’ll also visit several inspiring projects to experience Soweto’s on-going striving for community development, and pass by Africa’s largest hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath. Later depart for Gold Reef City, an operational gold mine turned into a theme park. Absorb the atmosphere of the early 1900’s and gather precious nuggets of information about the history of the mineral that built this city.
