There are 3 things to look out for in a coastal city like Lagos: Beaches, Beaches and Beaches! Yes, from the immaculate private beaches to the no-holds-barred public beaches, get set for a fun-filled experience all the way.

The most popular among the beaches is the Bar Beach, located along the Ahmadu Bello way, Victoria Island. Fun stuff to do include: swimming, horse-back riding, football, etc.

Also on the island is the Elegushi Private Beach, where you can as well book the entire beach for your parties, hangouts or merrymaking. Entry is N1,000 while parking fee is N200. Swimming is discouraged in the above mentioned beaches because of the strong tide.

Swimming is however encouraged at Takwa Bay, another exclusive beach located across the Lagos harbour. The tide at Takwa Bay is gentle and the water is quiet. Other beaches and resorts to explore include: Eleko beach, Akodo Resorts, Kuramo Waters, Coconut beach, Whispering Palms Badagry and the Peninsula Resorts, among others.
