The Uganda National Museum is East Africa’s biggest and oldest museum. Founded in 1908, and located about 3 kilometres from the city centre, the national museum is home to over 3,000 volumes of historical maps, periodicals and photographs. You will also find various archaeological artefacts, traditional music instruments, as well as ethnological and historical exhibitions that celebrate Ugandan’s cultural heritage. It’s a site worth visiting.
