Visit the burial site of famous Egyptian Pharaohs and Queens where they hoped to meet God in the afterlife. The Valley of the Kings houses the very famous tomb of King Tutankhamun discovered in the 1920’s. There numerous other lesser known kings buried in the valley that are worth seeing. The Valley of the Queens lies on the southern end of the necropolis. Queen Nefertari’s tomb is here and in very high demand. Only 150 tickets are sold daily and you can only be in the tomb for 10 minutes, so you need to plan ahead.
