The Cotonou Cathedral is popular for its burgundy and the architecture it portrays on the outside. The white stripped tiles architecture and the massive nature make it such an interesting and beautiful site to view. It is a centre for the Roman Catholic and the Archdiocese of Cotonou, the archdiocese dates back to 1883 and it has seen different transitions in the naming and now it is called the Metropolitan Archdiocese of the Cotonou region.
