The Grand Mosque is one of Sub-sahara’s largest mosque. It was built in 1982 by the first president of Guinea, Ahmed Sékou Touré, with funding from King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. The gigantic mosque can accommodate over 12,500 men and women at any given time.
